L'abito luccicante , la luce dorata che la circonda , e le opulente colonne di marmo dietro di lei danno alla figura di maria un'aura di preziosità che è ulteriormente enfatizzata dal netto contrasto con il vecchio brutto farmer's moglie in primo piano .
